01 The London Mozart Players' Ensemble with Howard Shelley (piano)

The exceptional pianist, communicator and Conductor Laureate of the London Mozart Players (LMP) Howard Shelley directs a performance of Beethoven’s sublime Piano Concerto No. 3. The concert opens with the opening Adagio- Allegro assai from Haydn’s 94th Surprise Symphony.

03 Mitsuko Uchida (piano)

For her Petworth concert, Mitsuko Uchida performs Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations, the monumental work that stands alongside Bach’s Goldberg Variations as one of the two greatest sets of variations for piano ever composed.

05 Tasmin Little (violin) with John Lenehan (piano)

We welcome one of the UK’s most loved violinists who gives one of her final concerts before retirement. In partnership with her regular collaborator pianist John Lenehan, she gives a programme that includes the fine Strauss Sonata for Violin and Piano, and their own joyous transcription of movements from Swan Lake.

06 Clare Teal and her Trio

We welcome back to Petworth jazz singer extraordinaire Clare Teal, one of the UK’s most celebrated and much-loved singers. She is joined as ever by her top trio of Jason Rebello (piano), Simon Little (bass) and Ben Reynolds (drums).

08 Patti Boulaye – Aretha and Me

The award-winning singer and music theatre star brings her brand-new show Aretha and Me to the festival. Patti compares and contrasts her own life with that of the ‘Queen of Soul’ Aretha Franklin whose extraordinary career included seventeen top ten singles, and twenty number one R&B hits during her five decades of recording. Patti will sing some of her favourite Aretha Franklin numbers including Respect, Say a Little Prayer, Chain of Fools, Think... and many more. She is accompanied by her pianist and musical director, Alan Rogers.
